Orijen Large Breed Puppy Grain-Free Dry Dog Food, 29.7lb

By nature all large breed puppies are evolved as carnivores – which means they thrive on a varied diet rich in fresh meats with smaller amounts of fruits, vegetables and grasses. With high ratios of free-run chicken and turkey, whole eggs and wild-caught fish – all farmed or fished locally and delivered fresh each day – Orijen Puppy Large Breed is brimming with the proteins and fats that replicate the same rich and diverse balance of fresh meats that young dogs would encounter in a wilderness setting and nourish them completely. Carbohydrate-limited and grain-free to mirror the natural diet, Orijen Puppy Large Breed bridges the gap between good nutrition and peak health with regional fruits, vegetables and botanicals – including sea vegetables, juniper berries and marigold flowers – that are rich in phytonutrients, B-vitamins and essential trace minerals. Formulated specifically for large breed puppies, this special puppy formula is made with special low-ash chicken and fish ingredients that keep calcium and phosphorus at healthy levels – a common concern in large breed puppy diets. Orijen puppy food Large Breed keeps your big puppy dog healthy, happy and strong.

orijen puppy food review :

I have been feeding this to my German Shepherd Puppy for 7 months. He is absolutely vibrant and his coat is incredible. He has been growing slowly as is desired in a large breed dog but is in awesome condition. The food is high in nutrients and if overfed at first we had some loose stools, but that has completely resolved with continued feeding. German Shepherds tend to easy GI upset so it is important to go slowly with a food change. I also started buying the adult for my grown dogs. After some ten years raising dogs, this is the best kibble I have fed.

I have a large breed Alaskan Malamute puppy and was looking for a new dog food. This is my 3rd malamute and the previous 2 always had stomach problems. When we tried Orijen dog food has had no problems with stomach issues. You do need to introduce slowly and sometimes my dog stools can be runny but most of the time we have no problems. He is growing at the rate he should, however we found that compared to his litter mates, he is much taller, wider, and has a heavier coat. He’s 8 months old and weighs in at almost a lean 100 pounds. He LOVES his food and hardly leaves a morsel behind. I’ve tried so many dog foods and this by far is the best. Give it a try. Like any dog food, there are positive and negative reviews. I hear much more positives than negatives about this dog food.
